Worship

Worship, the central activity of the church, is planned to enable worshippers to glorify God, listen for the Word as it instructs us, and affirm our unity with Christ and one another. It is our corporate opportunity to offer God our thanks and praise for all God's gifts to us, including our salvation through Jesus Christ and the guidance of the Holy Spirit in the life of all believers.

Times

Sunday services are held at 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. Contemporary service is held at 9:00 a.m. Seasonal services are held on Ash Wednesday, during Lent, and during Advent. Nurseries are available for infants through four year olds.

Sunday School starts at 9:45 a.m.

Directions

From I-40 (East or West)

• Take exit 274 Jordan Lake north, up Hope Valley Road/751.
• Go straight through the intersection of 751/54.
• Epworth is on the left about three miles down 751.

From 15-501 (North or South)

• From BUSINESS 15-501, go past South Square Mall to Shannon Road, turn right (this goes between S. Square and the auto dealerships).
• At the 2nd light turn left on University Drive.
• Go past Academy Drive and Chapel Hill Rd. on your left.
• Pass Hope Valley Elementary School on your right.
• At the next light (Hope Valley Road) turn right --> Epworth UMC is on the corner.
• Turn into the first driveway on your right.
