Bread for the World
Durham Bread for the World meets in Room 8 the third Thursday of every month from 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Bread for the World is a national, ecumenical Christian organization, which advocates legislation to help hungry and starving people in the U.S. and around the world. At the monthly meetings, participants receive timely information about legislation, pray, and write letters to Representatives and the President. Epworth participates in “Offerings of Letters” and observe Bread for the World Sunday in November. [Skills needed: letter writing.]
Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. —John 6:35
