Rev. Daniel Sharpe served as pastor of Epworth Church from 1953-1957. In his will he established a scholarship fund to provide loans and grants for members of Epworth. In 1985 the first scholarship was awarded by the Endowment Committee. The continuing purpose of this fund is to give financial assistance to as many Epworth members as possible to continue their education beyond high school.
